Means Subpoenaed
Russell Means was recently served with a subpoena to testify before a Grand Jury at the Sioux Falls, South Dakota Federal Building on Nov. 17, 1999, according to a press release received at News From Indian Country on Sunday, Nov. 14.
Means said he intends to make a statement to the press following his appearance before the Grand Jury at 12:00 p.m.
Grand Jurys are citizen bodies empowered for up to 18 months by the Federal or State government to hear evidence in a case and to determine if there is enough evidence to make indictments for criminal acts.
